Finished with the start of the perpetual calendar

I finished my perpetual calendar today. I glued the numbers onto wooden blocks using craft glue. I finished off March and April with ribbons and hangers on them. I am not great at finishing into pillows, but I feel like they turned out ok and the more I do it, the better I will get. The wooden part I painted it brown and then "antiqued" it with white paint. I think it turned out well evening though my husband doesn't like it.

I sewed the June and February, but I have not stuffed them yet. I am really happy with how this turned out and am excited to take them to work on Monday! It is super snowy today so I am happy I got some time to work on my crafts!
Once I finish stuffing the two I have sewn I will move onto another project for awhile, I am not sure what yet, but I am excited!

Progress on the Perpetual Calendar

I finished this Erica Michael's design last week. I like it, but I am not too sure about the colors. I can't wait to finish it off with pretty fabric and ribbon. This was stitched on 28 ct Blue Sky Monaco Fabric (2 over 2).

Here are the numbers that are going to be glued on the blocks for my calendar. I stitched these on the 14 count stitching paper. I used the font from PCStitch and I made the border myself. I really like the way they turned out, now I just need to figure out the best way to glue them on. I also need to sand the holder and paint it.
The numbers for blocks for the calendar- Block 1: 0,1,2,3,4,5 Block 2:0,1,2,6,7,8
The 6 is interchangeable for the 9.

The Week's Progress, and back to work

This week I got some work done. I finished the April Erica Michaels design. It is cute, I don't have pics yet, but I will post some when I get them. I also worked on the numbers for the calendar and have 4 done so far. This week I plan to finish up May and hopefully do some finishing on the other months.

This month has been going so fast! I can't believe it. But, hopefully the rest of the month I will be able to get more stitching done!

Progress and a lazy day

This is the progress that I have made over the past week. I stitched quite a bit last weekend and then some evenings after work.
Under the Friendship Tree

This past week has been pretty good, our first daffodils are popping up. I am getting very excited about our garden this summer. So far we have seeds/bulbs for: 3 kinds of lettuce, green beans, snap peas, cucumbers (pickling & reg.), summer squash, zucchini, dill, parsley, cilantro, red/white/yellow onions, and radishes. We still plan on getting tomatoes, green peppers and jalepeno peppers. Yay.

We had my sister and her dog over for dinner and I got a few pics of them. They were bad dogs though and tore up some of the landscaping. This week I plan on stitching on April and May for the perp. calendar. I also hope to get the number blocks patterns made. I maybe will get something done today, but so far all I've done is lay on the couch with Scout!

Saturday Saturday

Today I feel like I made some progress. I didn't actually stitch much, but I went to Hobby Lobby and got some materials to work on the perpetual calendar that I am stitching. I also started on the April Erica Michaels pattern and ran a race. Got some blue and tan Monaco fabric at Hob Lob too. I hope to post my progress on Under the Friendship tree tomorrow!

Today was a looong day at work. I got in at 7 and left at 5:30- not counting my 2 hr commute, so I am just a little tired. I had intended to stitch this entire evening while my hubby is out of town, but I went to my sister's house to have dinner, watch the office and let our doggies play together. So now I am at home and my little baby is snoring next to me, and I am going to do 30 minutes of stitching before bed time. I have made good progress on Mirabilia's under the friendship tree and I want to post some progress pics this weekend.
