THe trice I found to getting a good rosette is to use a pipe cleaner (also known as "Fuzzy sticks" and can be found in the craft section @ walmart). Cue the fabric into a 2 inch wide strip. Start at the top, dab a bit of hot glue to get the pipe cleaner to stick, and then in the fabrice creating a "tube".
